Illegal drug sellers were caught in Tashkent

2606Illegal drug dealers were apprehended in the Ohangaron district of the Tashkent region, according to a report from the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
In a coordinated operation between the Ohangaron district division of the Department and employees of the State Security Service (SSD), citizens F.M. and N.J. were arrested while attempting to sell 826 boxes of "Vivafer" for $9,000 and 40 million UZS, a total of 829 boxes being confiscated as evidence.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the illegal sale of drugs or medical products outside licensed pharmacies. Investigations are currently ongoing.
This follows a similar case in Kokand city and Uchkoprik district of the Fergana region, where a counterfeit drug operation worth 625 million UZS was recently uncovered.
