Tashkent resident fined for promoting narcotics channel

In Tashkent, a person distributing advertisements for a narcotics-related channel was apprehended and fined 37.5 million UZS. This was reported by the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs.

Investigations revealed that the individual, born in 1985, was involved in promoting narcotics distribution. The suspect admitted to earning 2,000 UZS per advertisement and stated that he had recently started this activity.

The case was reviewed by the Uchtepa District Criminal Court, where the individual was found guilty under Article 564 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (preparation, distribution, advertisement, or display of products promoting narcotics, their analogs, or psychotropic substances). The court imposed a fine equivalent to 100 times the base calculation amount, totaling 37.5 million UZS.

Previously, at the “Dustlik” border customs post in Andijan region, individuals attempting to smuggle 56 kilograms of the potent substance “pregabalin” disguised as laundry detergent were apprehended.
