The head of the Department of Defense Affairs was caught with a bribe in Tashkent

In a district of the capital Tashkent, the head of the Department of Defense Affairs was caught with a bribe.  This was reported by the State Security Service.

According to information, the employees of the State Security Service’s Department for Tashkent city conducted a quick operation in cooperation with the city department of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.  The head of the Department of Defense Affairs of one of the districts of Tashkent promised to issue a military ID to a citizen illegally.  In return, he was caught with physical evidence while taking 600 US dollars from a citizen in his official car.

In another case, the director of one of the employment assistance centers in the Syrdarya region asked the head of the limited liability company engaged in vocational training of young people not to monitor the attendance of students in his educational center and the activities of the limited liability company.  He demanded 300 US dollars in exchange for not conducting an investigation.  For this, he received 2 million soms in advance.  He was caught by the State Security Service when he received the remaining 1.4 million soms in his service room.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these officials under Article 210 of the Criminal Code (bribery), and preventive measures in the form of imprisonment have been applied.
