Two men caught after snatching a bag in Tashkent

A video showing two individuals snatching a bag from a pedestrian in broad daylight and fleeing the scene has been circulating on social media, prompting widespread discussion. The Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

According to the report, the incident took place on June 12 at approximately 18:15 in the parking lot of the Dehkan Bazaar, located in the Shaykhontohur district. The suspects — B.S., born in 1997, and X.A., born in 2000 — approached K.Kh., born in 2003, and openly robbed him of a black bag containing money before fleeing the scene.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 3, Clause "v" of Article 166 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. An investigation is currently underway.

It is worth recalling that earlier in Tashkent, another individual was arrested for threatening a metro employee and attempting to extort money.
