A man who threatened a metro employee and extorted money from him has been detained in Tashkent. This was reported by the Tashkent Metro State Enterprise.

According to the report, employees of the “Regime Order” service received information that citizen M.A., previously convicted under Articles 166 (robbery) and 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code, had threatened the life of A.A., a duty officer of the “Harakat” service at the “Kuylik” station, and demanded 500 thousand sums while threatening violence.

Following the report, the Department of Security of the Metro under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan was informed.

As a result, on April 10, during a special operation conducted jointly by employees of the Metro Security Department and the “Regime Order” service, citizen M.A. was caught in the act while extorting an additional 500 thousand sums from the same metro employee at the “Kuylik” station. Material evidence was seized during the operation.

It has been reported that M.A. is currently in custody, in accordance with legal procedures.

It should be recalled that earlier in Samarkand, three young men aged 17, 23, and 24 were detained after threatening a 44-year-old man with a knife and stealing $1,900.
