5683In social networks, there have been reports that a dangerous virus is spreading in Tashkent, that sometimes the disease is complicated by pneumonia, and that the virus often affects children, causing them to develop pneumonia. Dilfuza Rasulova, First Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Department of the Sanepidemiological Committee, commented on the situation.
“These reports are unfounded because daily and weekly tests for respiratory viral infections and influenza A are carried out daily. At the same time, we conduct laboratory tests for virological analysis from patients. As a result of the latest laboratory tests, we are determining type A influenza, that is, type A of seasonal influenza. At the same time, respiratory syncytial viruses and rhinoviruses, which are part of acute respiratory viral infections, are also being detected in these patients. So, the current complaints of patients include muscle pain, high body temperature, in some cases cough and eye pain, runny nose, and flu-like symptoms that correspond to the clinical signs of influenza A. The current situation in our country is associated with this type of influenza A, which has actually been registered with somewhat higher rates among the population of Tashkent in recent weeks," says Rasulova.
She said that additional patient beds have been created in all treatment and prevention institutions in Tashkent. When collecting epidemiological analysis of the observed patients, it was found that this disease in all patients is associated with a sharp onset, a high body temperature. Today, treatment and prevention institutions have created a stock of antiviral drugs for the treatment of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, as well as drugs for symptomatic treatment, and treatment is underway.
"Taking this opportunity, given the widespread spread of influenza A among the population, we ask our citizens to take measures to prevent this disease. One of the first preventive measures is to stay at home when a sick person is registered, that is when clinical signs of the disease are observed, without going to work, study, or kindergarten. We ask you to make a house call to your local family doctor. Of course, it will be necessary to implement treatment measures, adhering to bed rest based on the doctor's recommendations," says Dilfuza Rasulova.
