The Council of People’s Deputies of Tashkent approved a proposal to increase hot water and heat supply tariffs by 15 percent for households, 40 percent for legal entities, and 18.8 percent for budget organizations. This was stated in the council’s decision adopted on August 22 this year, titled “on reviewing regulated prices (tariffs) for heat supply services in Tashkent.”

Accordingly, the new tariffs will be as follows:

  • Base tariff excluding VAT – 711,641 soums per Gcal

  • For households excluding VAT – 139,860 soums per Gcal

  • For legal entities – 342,296 soums per Gcal

  • For budget organizations excluding VAT – 952,797 soums per Gcal

The document now awaits the signature of Tashkent’s mayor, Shavkat Umurzoqov. The decision does not specify the effective date for the new tariffs.

It is worth noting that the last increase in heat supply service tariffs for households in Tashkent was in September of last year. At that time, the retail tariff for heat energy and hot water supply services for households was 121,617 soums per Gcal. At the same time, the tariff for legal entities was also raised by 15 percent, reaching 244,497 soums per Gcal.
