Intentional damage to trees in Tashkent has been reported by the press service of the Tashkent City Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.
Inspectors from the Uchtepa district of the department found that 10 trees were deliberately damaged by unidentified individuals. Residents reported that the perpetrators poured car oil under the trees in an effort to dry them out artificially.
“A letter was sent to the Tashkent Botanical Garden, named after Academician F. N. Rusanov for help to save trees. We inform you that the search for those responsible for damaging the trees is ongoing," the report stated.
It is worth noting that valuable trees were previously cut down at a construction site in Samarkand.
