Man arrested for threatening woman with blackmail

A man was arrested in Tashkent for threatening to distribute photos of a woman who refused to have sex with him. QALAMPIR.UZ has reviewed the court document.

It is reported that on December 22, 2024, a woman named M.S. was called by a man named H.Kh., born in 2000, and said that she needed to clean a 3-room apartment. He offered her 250,000 soums in return and invited her to the Mirabad district.

When the woman arrived at the specified address, the man offered her sex for money, and when she did not agree, he put his arm around her shoulder and tried to take a picture of her. Then M.S. covered her face, and then H.Kh. threatened to distribute her photo if M.S. did not agree to have sex. At that moment, the woman escaped from H.Kh.'s hands and turned to the officers of the Internal Affairs Directorate.

During the court session, the accused confessed to his guilt in his testimony.

H.Kh. was found guilty of committing an offense under Article 411, Part 1 (Sexual misconduct) and Article 194, Part 1 (Failure to comply with the lawful requirements of an employee of the internal affairs bodies) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention. In addition, the man was fined 1 time the basic amount of the fine under Article 194, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, i.e. 375,000 (three hundred seventy-five thousand) sums.

It should be recalled that earlier, 3 men who groped and insulted a pregnant woman in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent were sentenced to 10 days in prison.
