A young man sitting at a bus stop in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent was injured after a bus crashed into the structure, causing it to collapse on him. The incident was reported in the “Millar” program.
The accident occurred on May 20 at around 10:00 p.m. at the Urikzor Center stop, located opposite the Construction Town. The 27-year-old man was reportedly waiting for a bus when a driver, who had allegedly fallen asleep at the wheel, lost control and struck the stop. The impact caused the structure’s metal rails to fall on the victim.
“I was waiting for the bus. The driver fell asleep and crashed into the stop. God forbid. I only got a head injury. To be honest, I don’t remember who helped me. I crawled out from under the stop. The children came, wiped the blood, gave me water, put me on the curb, and called an ambulance,” the victim said.
It is worth noting that a similar tragic incident occurred on April 16 in the Toylok district of the Samarkand region. In that case, a Cobalt car fell into an artificial pit, resulting in a burst tire and loss of control. The vehicle overturned into a roadside ditch, killing the driver and three passengers at the scene.
