According to the Press Service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city, a 32-year-old individual in the Shaikhontohur district of Tashkent has been found guilty of selling non-existent air tickets to 15 people.

The person in question, identified as O.T., served as the head of a company throughout 2022.  During this time, O.T. managed to deceive 15 citizens by selling them non-existent air tickets, accumulating a total amount of 246,520,800 sums.  Rather than transferring the received funds to the company's bank account, O.T. used the money for personal expenses.

Consequently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which pertains to "Fraud."  The investigation into this matter is currently ongoing.

It is worth mentioning that recent incidents in Tashkent have involved fraudsters who promised assistance to businessmen in securing air ticket bookings.  In a separate case, the leaders of a Limited Liability Company fraudulently obtained 10,000 US dollars by falsely promising to arrange travel for 50 individuals embarking on an Umrah pilgrimage.
