Illegal drug sellers were arrested in four regions of Uzbekistan

3553The sale of powerful illegal drugs was uncovered across four regions of Uzbekistan, as reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
During an operation led by the Buvayda district department, a citizen identified as M.Kh. was apprehended for the illegal sale of drugs. The authorities seized six units of "Tropicamide" and 14 units of "Pregabalin," both known for their strong psychoactive effects, which M.Kh. was selling to a buyer, A.A., for 2 million soums.
In a separate event in Urganch city, another individual, J.M., was caught selling 468 capsules of powerful drugs to M.Kh. for 1.5 million soums.
Further investigations in Oltinsoy district, in cooperation with local police, led to the arrest of pharmacy employee H.M. from the private enterprise "Kh.-N." He was caught selling 250 units of "Benzonal," a strong drug, to a buyer for 750,000 soums without proper receipts.
In a similar operation in Shaikhontohur district, M.S., a pharmacist working for "G.P." LLC, was apprehended for illegally selling three boxes of "Benzonal" without a prescription. A total of 170 units of the drug were confiscated as evidence.
Criminal cases have been initiated under relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigations are underway.
Earlier, authorities in Tashkent dismantled a criminal group involved in the packaging and distribution of large quantities of powerful drugs.
