Wanted Uzbek national accused of fraud was arrested in Istanbul

Shahnoza Sayidmurodovna Rahmatova, who has been wanted since 2021 on charges of fraud, was arrested in Istanbul, according to a report by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
Shahnoza Rahmatova, born in 1981, was apprehended during a joint operation conducted by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan. On September 7, she was deported to the Republic of Uzbekistan in the presence of the Consulate General's staff.
"Citizens affected by this individual's actions are urged to contact the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan or its subordinate agencies," the statement reads.
It is worth noting that last month, Dilafruz Madieva, who had been wanted since 2022 on fraud charges, was also deported to Uzbekistan.
