Dilafruz Israilovna Madieva, wanted since 2022 on charges of fraud, has been apprehended, according to a report from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The 48-year-old Dilafruz Madieva was detained during a joint operation conducted by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan and was deported to Uzbekistan on August 13.
"Citizens affected by this individual's actions are urged to contact the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including its subordinate bodies," the statement reads.
It should be noted that earlier reports indicated the arrest of a woman known by the nickname "Bonu," who had been wanted since 2024 on fraud charges.
