A man in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent has been arrested for keeping narcotics and illegal weapons in his apartment, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The individual, born in 1972, was found to be cultivating and storing narcotics in his home. Upon inspection of his residence, authorities discovered 85 dried cannabis plants, amounting to 14 kilograms and 365 grams of narcotics in the basement. Additionally, 1 kilogram and 480 grams, along with 15 kilograms and 865 grams of narcotics, were found in 31 separate packages in a warehouse on the property.

Furthermore, three cannabis plants and one illegally stored pneumatic weapon were found in the man's yard, and these items were duly recorded.

A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is currently ongoing.

It is worth noting that earlier this month, 32 individuals were arrested in Tashkent as part of efforts to combat the illegal circulation of narcotics and psychotropic substances. Criminal cases were opened under Article 273 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and transfer of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances. A precautionary measure of detention has been applied to the suspects in each case.
