Car collision leads to fire in Urta Chirchik district, Tashkent

Today, March 24, a Nexia-2 car collided with another vehicle and caught fire in the Urta Chirchik district of Tashkent region, according to the press service of the Tashkent regional police department.

The incident occurred at around 17:30 on the 17th kilometer of the D 002 Tashkent-Nurafshon highway. The Nexia-2 vehicle was turning from a turnoff point when it collided with a Cobalt car traveling in the opposite direction, causing a road traffic accident. Following the collision, a fire broke out in the Nexia-2 vehicle.

"Thankfully, no one was injured in the accident or fire. The blaze has been completely extinguished, and the Central Chirchik District Internal Affairs Department's Traffic Safety Investigation Department is now investigating the incident", the report stated.

It is worth noting that this follows an earlier incident in which a MAN truck exploded in the Turtkul district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
