6208The state security service disclosed the capture of a chief specialist in the Tashkent region's construction and housing sector and an architect in Bukhara, both involved in bribery, as reported by UzA.
The chief specialist from the regional control inspectorate, dealing with construction and housing services in the Tashkent region, sought a $12,000 bribe to expedite the approval of a 3-story shopping complex. He was apprehended after receiving $10,000 in advance.
Simultaneously, an architect from the "Uzbekistan Research and Design Institute of Urban Planning" in Bukhara misused his official position, charging $5,000 to assist in preparing estimated documents for a construction project on an 8-hectare plot owned by a construction company. He was caught accepting the requested amount.
It's noteworthy that on January 30, Sh.S., the chairman of the Mingbuloq district court for criminal cases, was caught accepting a $2,000 bribe.
