Tashkent Region General Department of Landscaping was terminated

The Tashkent Region General Department of Landscaping has been terminated, according to a relevant decision made by the Cabinet of Ministers on September 9 of this year.

Under the decision, the State Assets Management Agency and the regional government are tasked with ensuring that the buildings, structures, motor vehicles, and material assets belonging to the department are transferred to the government of Tashkent Region under the right of operative management within one month.

Additionally, funds allocated for 20 state units, including salary expenses, will be transferred to the Chirchik City Development Department from the budget of the liquidated state units.

For reference, on November 21, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 931 on "Measures to Further Improve Landscaping in Tashkent Region." With the termination of the department, this resolution has also been annulled.

It is worth recalling that earlier, reports emerged about the cutting down of maple trees by landscaping workers in Tashkent.
