Train services on the Tashkent Metro's Above-Ground Ring Line will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. between July 17 and 19, the state enterprise Tashkent Metro announced.
According to the operator, the temporary schedule change is intended to ensure passenger safety by allowing specialists to conduct additional comprehensive inspections of stations along the Above-Ground Ring Line.
During this period, experts will carry out detailed structural and technical inspections of all 14 stations on the line in accordance with established procedures.
The metro operator said the preventive measures are aimed at ensuring the reliable operation of the infrastructure, conducting an in-depth assessment of its current condition, and creating safer and more comfortable conditions for passengers.
Earlier, on July 16, two people were killed after part of the roof structure collapsed at Turon Metro Station in Tashkent.
