Today, on November 10, Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, became the second most polluted major city in the world, according to data from the IQAir portal.

As of 4:51 pm, the concentration of fine particulate matter, PM2.5, in the air reached 121.6 micrograms per cubic meter, which is more than twenty-four times higher than the annual limit recommended by the World Health Organization.

For reference, under such weather conditions, people are advised to avoid going outside unless necessary, and those with chronic respiratory diseases should use medical masks.

After returning home from the street, it is recommended to thoroughly wash the face and hands, prevent dust accumulation indoors, keep doors and windows tightly closed, and clean surfaces several times a day with a damp cloth.

It is worth noting that on October 6 of this year, Tashkent was ranked first among the world’s major cities in terms of air pollution.
