Tohir Jumaniyozov passes away

On January 20, Tohir Jumaniyozov, a veteran figure in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, passed away at the age of 86. The Hazorasp district administration reported the news.
Tohir Jumaniyozov was born on October 23, 1939, in the Muxomon neighborhood of Hazorasp district. Between 1959 and 1962, he worked as a mechanic at the Hazorasp cotton processing plant. In 1968, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry with a degree in mechanical engineering. From 1968 to 1971, he served as head of a procurement unit at the Hazorasp cotton processing plant.
From 1971 to 1973, Jumaniyozov worked as director of the Bog‘ot district cotton processing plant, and from 1973 to 1981, he headed the Hazorasp cotton processing plant. Between 1981 and 1984, he served as head of the Khorezm regional cotton procurement and production department. Later, from 1994 to 1997, he was director of the “Muxomon” private firm in Hazorasp district. From 1997 to 2006, he chaired the management board of the “Khorezm” agricultural cooperative, and from 2006 to 2014, he led the “Bekyoz-Jumaniyoz” farming enterprise in Hazorasp district.
“For many years, Tohir Jumaniyozov made a significant contribution not only to the development of Hazorasp district but also to the progress and prosperity of the entire region. He was an honest and dedicated individual whose work, especially at the district level, deserves high recognition,” the statement said.
The Hazorasp district administration expressed its deep condolences to Jumaniyozov’s family and loved ones over his passing.
According to the report, the funeral prayer was held on January 20 at 12:00 at the deceased’s residence in the Muxomon neighborhood of Hazorasp district.
Earlier, it was reported that singer Rahmatillo Yusupov passed away at the age of 44.
