Car carrying cotton pickers back from the harvest met experiences an accident

Reports have circulated on social networks that a Labo truck carrying women returning from the cotton harvest in the Surkhandarya region collided with a Cobalt car. The regional Road Safety Department has commented on the incident.

According to the department, the accident occurred on October 3 at around 19:00 on a highway passing through the territory of the “Gulbog” mahalla in Bandikhan district. The driver of the Labo reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a Cobalt traveling in the opposite direction.

As a result, the Labo driver and five women were taken to the district hospital with injuries of varying degrees. Officials stated that claims about 16 women being on board and all sustaining injuries were unfounded.

At present, a criminal case has been initiated by the investigative group of the Bandikhan District Internal Affairs Department, and an investigation is underway.

It is worth noting that earlier, a traffic accident involving several vehicles occurred on the A-373 “Tashkent–Osh” international highway near the city of Angren in the Tashkent region, resulting in the deaths of seven people.
