A phone thief might be “imprisoned” for 5 years

A criminal case was initiated against the person who committed robbery in Fergana city.  This was reported by the Information Service of the Regional Internal Affairs Department.

It is noted that on 10 January of this year at 01:00 a.m. citizen A.A used light violence against a minor who was walking on the street and took away his mobile phone worth $300.  The thug then left the scene and hid. 

In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 166, Part 2, Paragraph “a” (robbery) of the Criminal Code by the investigation department under the Department of Coordination of the Activities of Internal Affairs Bodies of Fergana city, and an arrest was made in procedural order.

The Department of Internal Affairs of the Fergana region noted that the person who committed the aforementioned crime may be jailed for up to 5 years.

It should be recalled that the act of the person who tried to sell the same phone several times in Jizzakh was exposed.
