“Technical error”: Tax committee withdraws large sums from entrepreneurs

Messages circulated on social media on August 13 reported that the Tax Committee had withdrawn considerable sums of money from entrepreneurs without a basis. In one case, 200 million soums were taken from a businessman. The State Tax Committee stated the situation.
According to the statement, due to a technical error in the my3.soliq.uz system, temporary incorrect information may appear in the reconciliation certificate, such as tax arrears or fund withdrawals.
“The situation is under control. Specialists are currently working to resolve the problem. All information will be restored, and the withdrawn funds will be returned as soon as the errors are corrected. Thank you for your understanding,” the statement read.
It was noted that no written application will be required to return the funds, as all amounts will be automatically transferred back.
