Uzbekistan consulate confirms deaths of citizens in Tatarstan fire

A fire at the MIR livestock farm in Yelabuga, Tatarstan, Russia, claimed the lives of five Uzbek citizens. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as 48-year-old A.B., 59-year-old X.X., 54-year-old Z.U., 29-year-old B.N., and 22-year-old S.D.

The Consulate General has taken the situation under control, with consular diplomats dispatched to the scene to oversee the identification process and coordinate the return of the bodies to Uzbekistan.

In a statement, the Consulate expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and acknowledged the support of Tatarstan’s leadership and relevant authorities in facilitating necessary measures.
