Visa-free regime for Uzbeks was introduced in Thailand

3767As of July 15, the Thai government has implemented a visa-free entry policy for citizens of 93 countries, including Uzbekistan, allowing them to stay for up to 60 days. This news was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan stated that previously, citizens from 57 countries could enter Thailand without a visa. With the addition of 36 new countries, the list now includes Uzbekistan, China, India, and Kazakhstan.
This new policy is applicable at all Thai border checkpoints. It was initiated unilaterally by the Thai government to boost the economy and may be revoked in the future.
Prior to July 15, Uzbek citizens could obtain a 15-day tourist visa upon arrival at the airport for a fee of USD 60.
It should be noted that earlier, Ahror Burhanov, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, had announced the introduction of a visa-free regime for Uzbeks traveling to Thailand.
