4342An Uzbek citizen whose health deteriorated in Pattaya, Thailand, was returned. This was reported by the Dunyo news agency.
It is known that on March 3 of this year, an Uzbek citizen I.S. was urgently hospitalized in Pattaya, Thailand, as a result of a stroke.
I.S. underwent a serious surgical operation. However, despite the treatments performed, the left side of the patient's body became paralyzed.
It is reported that I.S. went to Thailand to work, but did not receive medical insurance, and did not conclude an employment contract with the employer. These circumstances caused difficulties in paying medical expenses.
Nevertheless, on March 28 of this year, through the efforts of the patient's relatives, friends and active compatriots, the necessary funds were collected to cover medical expenses and return the patient to his family.
It is noted that in connection with the increasing number of such cases, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok reminded citizens of the need to obtain medical insurance when traveling or working abroad, as well as conclude an employment contract with an employer. These measures will help to protect and receive necessary assistance in emergency situations.
“We urge all citizens to be more attentive to their health while abroad,” a source at the diplomatic mission said.
It should be recalled that on March 12-14 of this year, 19 Uzbek citizens, including women previously detained by Saudi law enforcement agencies, were returned to Uzbekistan.
