In the taekwondo competition, Svetlana Osipova (+67 kg) of Uzbekistan secured a 2:0 victory over Lee Dabin of South Korea (3:3, 9:3) in the semifinals held in France. With this win, Osipova advanced to the finals, ensuring at least a silver medal.

She is set to face Althea Laurin of France in the decisive final match. This battle for the Olympic gold medal will take place on August 11 at 00:37.

Meanwhile, Akbar Juraev from Uzbekistan participated in the Olympic weightlifting competition, where he earned a silver medal.
