Dissatisfied with the lack of “light”, a woman threatened an “electricity” employee with a knife 

Videos of a group of citizens quarreling over power outages, and a woman threatening an employee of an enterprise with a knife, were circulated on social networks.  It is said that this incident happened in Kashkadarya region.  The General Prosecutor’s Office provided information on the situation.

It was found that this incident did not take place in Kashkadarya, but in Tashkent region.

Yesterday, on 16 January, a group of residents protested at the dispatch center of the Chirchik city electricity supply company due to interruptions in electricity supply.  During the protest, a 35-year-old woman struggled against an electricity supply company fitter, who was trying to prevent hooliganism, and tried to kill him with a kitchen knife.

In this case, the Investigative Department under the Internal Affairs Department of Chirchik city initiated a criminal case against the woman under Article 277, Part 3, Clause “g” (bullying) of the Criminal Code.  An investigation is currently underway.

It is reported that residents blocked the road due to lack of electricity in the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region.
