Videos showing residents blocking the road due to lack of electricity in the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region, were circulated on social networks. The regional administration made an official comment on the situation.
It is noted that yesterday, on 16 January, a group of citizens, mostly women, living in the “Humo” neighborhood protested and blocked the road in the city of Chirchik.
Mayor Davron Hidoyatov arrived at the scene, apologized to the residents and personally supervised the restoration of electricity. After 40 minutes, the population was provided with electricity. The old transformer in the neighborhood was repaired and a new transformer was brought.
It is reported that in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent, residents complained about power outages and started a fight at the power grid company.
