A Fraudster Who Promised to Deliver a TOEFL Certificate was Caught in Surkhandarya

A fraudster who made promises of delivering a language certificate has been apprehended in Surkhandarya, as reported by the Press Service of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to the report, a swift operation conducted by the Shorchi district department of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, in collaboration with the State Security Service, resulted in the arrest of a certain individual named Sh.X.  This person managed to gain the trust of a citizen named N.S. and, with the assistance of his acquaintances, provided him with an English TOEFL certificate in exchange for a sum of money.  However, he was caught red-handed with incriminating evidence while accepting a payment of 1700 US dollars.

In response to this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are currently underway.
