The highway and some houses in Surkhandarya were flooded. On November 8th, floods affected a section of the M39 international highway that passed through the “Chilanzar” neighborhood in the Boysun district of the Surkhandarya region. Currently, work is underway to mitigate the consequences of the flood and to clean the mud-gravel mixture from the road. This information was reported by the regional administration.


It is worth noting that employees from the district administration, internal affairs, emergency services, and traffic safety units arrived at the scene to bring the situation under control.


Work is currently ongoing to eliminate the flood's consequences and clean the mud-gravel mixture from the road. Traffic has been restored. Furthermore, emergency workers continue to clear water reservoirs in some houses and other objects located along the road.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident.


"On November 8-9 of this year, it was anticipated that floods might occur due to heavy rains. We urge citizens residing in mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in mountainous regions to take necessary precautions and contact the emergency headquarters at 101 and 1050 in case of flooding," the message reads.
