A video of a teacher hitting a mute student in Bukhara and demanding an apology from him circulated on social networks. The Department of Pre-School and School Education of the Bukhara region responded to this situation.
The incident occurred in February 2024 at the boarding school of the 27th special school in the city of Bukhara. In the video, the teacher threatened a disabled, non-speaking elementary school student and repeatedly told him to "shut up."
According to the board, the employment contract of the elementary school teacher, N.Kh., was terminated.
It is also worth noting that earlier in the Zangiota district of the Tashkent region, a stepmother who regularly beat and mentally abused her child was punished.
