9709A criminal case has been initiated against a woman who assaulted a teacher in front of students in the Khorezm region. This was confirmed by the regional preschool and school education department's press service.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the incident occurred on October 15 at General Secondary School No. 36 in the Khanka district. The altercation began as a conflict between S.R., the mother of a student, and G.R., a female teacher.
Following the incident, the internal affairs authorities conducted an investigation. Initially, S.R. was charged under Article 41 (Defamation) and Article 52 (Causing minor bodily injury) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, while G.R. faced charges under Article 52. These administrative offense cases were forwarded to the court for review.
However, the prosecutor’s office reassessed the decision and found it lacking in justification. On November 18, a criminal case was filed against S.R. under clause "a" of Article 277 (Hooliganism), part 2 of the Criminal Code.
This comes amid reports of similar incidents. In Kashkadarya, a student and a teacher were involved in a quarrel at school. Following an investigation by Karshi city’s internal affairs authorities, measures were taken under Article 183 (Petty hooliganism) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, with case materials forwarded to the court.
