Reports have surfaced on social media about a schoolboy being severely beaten by an informatics teacher in the Akkurgan district of the Tashkent region. The Children's Ombudsman has addressed the situation.

According to findings, on October 9, 2024, a 34-year-old informatics teacher, M.A., at secondary school No. 6 in the Akkurgan district allegedly assaulted a 9th-grade student, Q.S. (born in 2009), during an additional lesson. The incident reportedly occurred after the student was accused of distracting the teacher during the class.

The Akkurgan District Internal Affairs Department is currently conducting a pre-investigation into the incident. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to assess the extent of the injuries sustained by the minor.

“Further information will be provided regarding this case,” the report stated.

It is worth recalling that a similar incident was previously reported in the Urta Chirchik district, where a 9th-grade student at school No. 50 was brutally beaten by several classmates during a physical education lesson.
