In Syrdarya, a father sued his 26-year-old son for alimony. Aziz Obidov, press secretary of the Supreme Court, reported this.
It is known that the father of three children filed a lawsuit in the district court of Guliston demanding alimony from his eldest child. The man stated that he does not live with his wife and children, that his health has deteriorated, and that he is struggling financially without support from his child.
It is noted that the father had transferred his property to his son. During the court session, the father mentioned that he would forgo the alimony if his son returned the house and shops he had given him. However, the son did not agree.
After deliberation, the court rejected the father's claim. The ruling cited that the son is responsible for the financial support of his younger brother and sister, who are both classified as first-group disabled. Furthermore, the father has not reached retirement age and is not incapable of work.
