Shaykhantohur district administration building put up for sale

The State Asset Management Agency has put up for sale the building of the Shaykhantohur district administration of Tashkent city. The announcement was posted on the “E-auction” portal.

According to the information published on the portal, the starting price of the building is set at 101 billion 652 million sums. The deadline for accepting applications is May 26, 2019, at 09:00, and the results will be announced on the same day, at 10:00. The area of the administration building is 7,382 square meters.

It is noted that the buyer undertakes to make a one-time payment of at least 50 percent of the initial payment for the construction and purchase of a modern hotel on the basis of the object. Additionally, the buyer will acquire the right to use the building after it is vacated by the Shaykhantohur district administration, which is expected to happen by July 1, 2019.

It should be recalled that on March 19, during a meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, it was announced that all government agencies in 15 districts and cities of Uzbekistan would be relocated to a single multi-storey building in the district centers. The presidential decree adopted on the same day approved the list of regions where this practice would be implemented.
