Earlier, we reported, based on our sources, that the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, traveled to Saudi Arabia to participate in the first summit in the format of "Central Asia-Gulf Arab States Cooperation Council." On July 18, he performed Umrah. The Presidential Administration confirmed this information.

Mirziyoyev's press service reported, "The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is in Saudi Arabia on his first foreign visit after being elected to the post of head of state, went to the holy city of Mecca."

It is noted that on July 19 - the first day of the Muharram month of 1445 AH, which began in the Islamic world, the head of state entered Ihram and performed Umrah. Once again, he had the honor of praying inside Ka'batullah.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev made seven rounds of circumambulation around Baitullah and seven times between Safa and Marwa hills in accordance with the pillars of our religion. We prayed for the prosperity of our country, peace, and well-being of our people, happiness, luck, and a bright future for all our compatriots and the young generation.

It should be noted that on this day, the ceremony of changing the Kiswa of the Kaaba was held," the press service of the President said.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was accompanied by the Chairman of the Office of Muslims, Nuriddin Khaliqnazarov, the Head of the Presidential Administration, Sardor Umurzakov, and his sons-in-law - Oibek Tursunov and Otabek Umarov.

Also, it should be mentioned that Mirziyoyev was in Makkah during his visit to Saudi Arabia in August 2022 and performed Umrah.

Tajik President Emomali Rahman, who went to Saudi Arabia to participate in the first summit of the "Central Asia-Gulf Arab States Cooperation Council" format, also performed Umrah and entered the Kaaba. The President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, went to Madina and visited Masjid an-Nabawi.
