President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum. The presidential press service reported this.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mikhail Mishustin conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the Uzbek leader.
The parties considered issues related to further developing Uzbekistan-Russia relations of strategic partnership and alliance within the framework of implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
The steady growth of trade turnover was noted with satisfaction. Since the beginning of this year, its volume has increased by 20%. Major projects continue to be implemented in energy, metallurgy and other priority sectors of the economy.
Special attention was paid to adopting comprehensive measures aimed at maintaining the pace of trade and economic cooperation, as well as supporting industrial cooperation projects.
The Uzbek leader emphasized the importance of further expanding practical cooperation at the regional level and promoting cultural and educational exchange programs.
Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin. At the beginning of the meeting, the high-ranking guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Head of State.
