Lukashenko’s greetings conveyed to Shavkat Mirziyoyev

On June 16, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin as part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum. The presidential press service reported this.

At the beginning of the meeting, the high-ranking guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Head of State.

Current issues related to further expanding the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus were considered in the context of preparations for upcoming high-level events.

The effective results of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission held in Tashkent region in May this year were noted with satisfaction.

Trade turnover has increased by 32% since the beginning of this year and continues to grow steadily. Cooperation projects are being implemented in agriculture, mechanical engineering and other sectors.

The importance of taking coordinated measures to further expand trade and economic cooperation, as well as to intensify cultural, humanitarian and interregional ties, was emphasized.

Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
