It was proposed to increase the customs fees for importing balloons to Uzbekistan by ten times. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Ecology.

It was noted that earlier on social networks there was news that 5,000 balloons would be released in the "Navroz" amusement park in the Jizzakh region. A working group consisting of employees from the National Guard and the Ministry of Environmental Protection arrived at the scene.

Balloon launches have been suspended while the task force investigates the situation.

"It should be noted that the Ministry condemns plastic toys, launching balloons, and other similar activities that cause environmental pollution and littering. Such activities are prohibited and lead to liability. For example, it was earlier reported that 10,000 plastic ducks were going to be released in the "New Uzbekistan" park. The Ministry reacted strongly to this situation, and as a result, the event was canceled.

Unfortunately, some businessmen and social network activists who are indifferent to environmental protection continue to hold events such as launching balloons," said the Ministry of Ecology.

It is reported that various measures are being taken by the Ministry of Ecology to prevent such situations. In particular, it is proposed to increase customs fees for importing balloons to Uzbekistan by ten times, to impose disposal requirements on those who want to hold events such as balloon launches in the country, and to set a price one hundred times higher than the cost of balloons.
