Shakhobidin Zoirov fights for the belt in Dubai

Uzbekistani professional boxer and Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist Shakhobidin Zoirov will compete for a championship belt at the "IBA Night of Champions" boxing event, which will take place at "The Agenda" complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on December 6, 2024. This was announced by the press service of the Professional Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan.

On that day, the 31-year-old Zoirov will face Joel Finol from Venezuela. The fight will be in the lightest weight category, with the IBA Pro classification championship belt on the line.

Zoirov’s most recent victory was in October when he defeated Spaniard Samuel Carmona in the IBA Pro category. Carmona, in turn, had previously lost to Hasanboy Dosmatov during a tournament in Tashkent.

Zoirov remains undefeated in his professional career, having won all 6 of his fights, with 3 of those victories coming by knockout.
