Shakhobiddin Zoirov looses in $1 million fight

Uzbek boxer Shakhobiddin Zoirov faced Venezuelan Yoel Finol at the IBA Night of Champions, held at The Agenda in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Zoirov, a former Olympic champion, was unable to secure victory in the highly anticipated bout.
The 10-round fight was contested for the IBA Pro championship belt. After a closely fought match, Finol was declared the winner by a split decision, with the judges scoring it 95-95, 96-94, and 96-94 in his favor.
Prior to the fight, the IBA announced that a $1 million prize would be awarded to any boxer who secured a knockout win before the 5th round. However, with neither fighter achieving this feat, the bonus remained unclaimed. The loss marked Zoirov's first defeat in his professional boxing career.
