A criminal case is initiated on the explosion in Sergeli

Today, on September 28, a criminal case was initiated in connection with the explosion that occurred in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On September 28 of this year at 02:43, a fire broke out on a field, covering an area of approximately 10,000 sq. m.

As a result of the shock wave from the fire, several apartment buildings, structures, and vehicles in the vicinity of the warehouse were damaged, and several citizens were injured.

Tragically, it has been confirmed that a citizen born in 2006 has lost their life due to injuries sustained.

Emergency medical care is being provided to those injured, and a government commission has been formed to thoroughly investigate the incident.

In light of this situation, a criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under Article 259 of the Criminal Code (violation of fire safety regulations), part 2, clauses "a" and "b."

The report states, "Currently, an investigative team comprising experts from relevant agencies has been assembled in connection with the criminal case. Appropriate forensic examinations have been scheduled to determine the causes of the fire, and investigative actions are being promptly conducted."
