Leaders of Senate Committees were elected

On November 19, at the first plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the formation of committees and commissions within the Senate was discussed. Seven committees and one commission were established, and leaders for six committees were elected. The Senate of the Oliy Majlis shared this information.

The elected committee leaders are as follows:

• Kutbiddin Nukritdinovich Burkhanov: Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security.
• Abdulhakim Khushbokovich Eshmuratov: Chairman of the Committee on Judiciary, Law, and Combating Corruption.
• Erkin Fayziyevich Gadoyev: Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Economic Affairs.
• Bakhrom Ismailovich Abdullayev: Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, and Health.
• Orzigul Moydinovna Kazikhonova: Chairman of the Committee on Youth, Culture, and Sports.
• Anvar Mirzaakhmedovich Tuychiyev: Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian, Water Management, and Ecology.

Additionally, the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments, and Tourism, as well as the Ethics Commission, were formed. Their leaders will be elected in due course.

Earlier in the day, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev nominated Tanzila Norboyeva as Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Sadiq Safoyev as her first deputy, and Amanbay Orinbayev as deputy chairman.
