On October 2, nineteen Uzbek citizens working in Saudi Arabia appealed to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, reporting that a Turkish company involved in the construction of the Rabigh industrial city had failed to pay their monthly wages, the ’’Dunyo’’ agency reported.
It was noted that representatives of the Consulate General visited the city of Rabigh to investigate the situation. During the visit, they held discussions with the citizens regarding the issue and conducted negotiations with the management of the employer company.
As a result, an agreement was reached with the Turkish company’s management to resolve all financial disputes related to the Uzbek workers and to repatriate them to Uzbekistan at the company’s expense.
’’The situation involving the Uzbek citizens is being fully monitored by the Consulate General,’’ the report said.
It is worth noting that earlier, earlier, Uzbek citizens who had spent two months in a deportation center in Poland were returned home.
