It is impossible to play all matches in qualification without losses – Katanets

The head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, Srechko Katanets, addressed journalists during a press conference held before the World Cup qualifier match against North Korea, scheduled for November 19.  

"After the match with Qatar, we had enough time to prepare for the game against the DPRK. However, we faced an issue with the training field as the allocated pitch is not in good condition. Nevertheless, an important match awaits us tomorrow, and we will do everything possible to achieve a positive result," said Katanets.  

The coach also commented on the role of losses during the qualification process.  

"It is impossible to play all the matches in the qualification without losses. For this reason, the players who will play tomorrow must show themselves," he emphasized.  

For reference, the match between DPRK and Uzbekistan will take place in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, starting at 17:00 Tashkent time.  

Earlier, it was reported that the Uzbekistan national team will wear blue uniforms for this match.
