According to the UFA, the contract with Katanets was terminated by mutual consent to accommodate the Slovenian coach’s health issues. In his farewell message, Katanets expressed deep regret over his inability to fulfill his responsibilities in a full and professional manner due to his current condition. He extended his gratitude to the association for its unwavering support and effective collaboration, and he wished the national team success in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
The UFA emphasized that the parting was amicable and maintained friendly relations between both parties. The organization is now focused on identifying and appointing a suitable replacement for the role of head coach.
