The head of the Department at the State Institute of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan was caught accepting a bribe. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
It is noted that the head of the department, also the responsible secretary of the admission commission for the 2023-2024 academic year, A.O., demanded a bribe of 5,000 US dollars in exchange for enrolling J.S. into the institute.
He was caught with physical evidence when he received $4,800. In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been opened under Article 210 of the Criminal Code (bribery), and investigations are underway.
Let's remind that earlier, the vice-rector of Nukus State Pedagogical Institute, named after Ajiniyaz, M.J., was caught with a bribe of 3,000 dollars.
