A Large Fire Occurred in a Gas Plant in Samarkand

The Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that one person has been injured as a result of a fire at a gas plant in the Pakhtachi district of Samarkand region.

This incident occurred yesterday, 9th May, close to the Tumangaz enterprise located in the "Yangiabad" neighborhood of the district.  The Emergency Department received a call at 9:25 p.m., soon after, 5 fire-rescue crews arrived, they had control of the fire by 22:30 p.m. and had extinguished it by 23:00 p.m.  As a result of the fire, 3 ISUZU vehicles and cylinders with liquefied hydrocarbon gases and a capacity of 50 liters, were burned in the area of the gas station.

The incident was caused due to technical safety rules being violated.  The incident occurred while gas was being transferred from the MAN liquefied gas truck at the station to the reserve capacity.

According to preliminary information, one citizen was injured as a result of the incident.  Work is being carried out to rectify the damage caused by the situation.
